All of Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity's skydives are ran and operated by Skyline Events. Because of this, we have to advise on your fundraising for the skydives as they work in a different way to normal fundraising.

We ask you to raise a minimum amount of £410 in order to take part; this includes your tuition and jump costs as well as a direct donation to the hospital.

The break down is:

£70 Deposit for the jump

£230 to Skyline to cover the cost of the jump and instruction (to be paid on the day)

£110 comes to us as minimum sponsorship

Every extra pound that you raise over this minimum comes straight to us and really does make a difference to the lives of our young patients.

PAYING FOR YOUR JUMP AND SPONSORSHIP MONEY

All airfields require you to pay for your jump on the day which will be approximately £230 depending on the airfield. This will need to be paid by cash, cheque or card.

Please note this can NOT be taken from online fundraising platforms such as JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving so if you are paying for your jump via your fundraising please make sure you have the money set aside and kept separately from any online giving.

You are more than welcome to use your fundraising to pay for your skydive, just please advise any supporters that this is your plan.

IMPORTANT We would advise that any online fundraising is raised through crowdfunding such as justgiving.com/crowdfunding, rather than JustGiving's fundraising platform or Virgin Money Giving.

Crowdfunding enables you to raise money online and share your story. Similar to online fundraising platforms you are able to share your page online and on social media.

The advantage of crowdfunding is you are able to withdraw funds if you wish to use your fundraising to pay for your skydive.

Once you have finished your fundraising, you can withdraw the funds and make a donation to ourselves in any of the following ways:

  1. Online giving pages will automatically pay your funds to Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity.
  2. Donate directly via the BCH website: http://www.bch.org.uk/donate
  3. Visit our Fundraising Hub on the main hospital corridor. The Fundraising Hub is open Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm.
  4. Post a cheque made payable to ‘BCH Charity’ along with your name and date of skydive to: The Fundraising Department, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Steelhouse Lane, Birmingham, B4 6NH.

Precise instructions on how to operate the above system (including how much to pay your airfield on the day and how much sponsorship money is due to the charity) will be sent to you upon receipt of your reservation form and booking deposit.
